Color Consulting
Project in Hidden
Valley Neighborhood of Santa Rosa. A
neutral color was chosen to compliment
the soft rose pinks, celadon greens, and
rhubarb reds in the furniture and
accessories of the Living Room. The
antique Oriental armoire and cabinet
were chosen with the two accent chairs
to compliment the traditional rose
floral pattern in their existing sofa,
updating the look of their home and
creating more interest and excitement
with color.

Home in the Del Webb Community of
Cloverdale
All interior walls must be painted a
bright white which can be stark with the
warm color of the mushroom colored
carpets creating a cold feeling and
making the carpet to appear "muddy" in
appearance. To distract from that and to
create a warm, comfortable feeling I
chose hot reds, warm oranges and yellows
in the accessories of this home. I also
chose bold, graphic patterns for the
wall art which complimented the
starkness of the walls giving the home a
more updated, contemporary look and
distracting from the poor contrast of
the walls and carpet.

This was a color consulting project for
a new home in the Bennett Valley
neighborhood of Santa Rosa, California
Flooring and carpet were also chosen to
go with the interior paint colors. This
home is still waiting to have their
flooring installed. I worked with the
client's existing artwork and paintings
when choosing the colors. I made up a
color board for them to approve after
reviewing their artwork and paintings.
